FERRARA NERVESA DELLA BATTAGLIA
18 May 2018
Giro d'Italia 2018
The stage runs across the perfectly flat roads of the eastern Po Plain, from south to north. The route passes through several urban areas, with roundabouts, traffic islands and speed bumps being the main obstacles. The course takes a first pass over the finish line with 30 km to go, and then takes in the Montello ascent along a “milder” side. The last climb is cleared 20 km before the finish. Final kilometres: over the final kilometres, the route runs perfectly flat, with just a few bends (the last remarkable one is 5 km before the finish).
